Obituary of Joseph G. Allgaier

Joseph G. Allgaier passed away peacefully September 18, 2019 after a long battle with cancer, with his family by his side.  Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Allgaier and Jacqueline J. Allgaier of Delmar, NY he is survived by his sisters Barbara (Michael) McGonigle, Karen (Patrick) Plesh, nieces and nephews Maggie, Michael, Katelyn, Matthew, Lauren and Mason, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Joe was born in Glens Falls, NY but spent the majority of his childhood in Delmar, NY.  After graduating high school, Joe continued his education at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL earning a bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering.  He spent many years working as an engineer and then enjoyed an early retirement.  He then focused on making Melbourne, FL his permanent home, residing in the community for over 40 years.  Joe always had a smile on his face, enjoyed spending time with friends, watching the news, connecting on Facebook and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He purchased a small condo in 2016 and was so proud of his forever home.   He loved spending time there, but never lost his love and fond memories of his hometown. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church, Mebourne, Florida on Friday, September 27^th.   

All are welcome to visitation at 10am, Saturday, November 2^nd at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, NY.  Interment to follow at 11am at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Delmar, NY.
