Dave. I love you man. We have a wine cellar of memories too many to count. Please know how sorry I am to have been out of touch. Please know that I am sorry for your family. We are right behind you brother. I haven't had the laughter we shared in the 37 years since I last spoke with you. Peace. You and Tommy were my brothers once.

Dave and I became friends when he first moved to Pittsford. We had the bathroom light in Jr. High worked out so we wouldn't get caught smoking by Mr. Burleigh (or so we thought). We had a lot of laughs before drifting apart. I often thought of Dave, and recently was relaying a story about him to my family. I was shocked when my wife opened the paper and I saw Dave's senior picture!
So very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace my friend.

Through all the pictures, stories, memories and times each of you shared with Dave, the unquestionable thread was family, laughter and love. We didn't know Dave but, the pictorial tribute to him showed a life very well-lived by a loving and much-loved man. We offer our Sincere Sympathy to All Dave's family and friends.

NOID Ave
One of the many awesome memories that stands out is the time he visited Tommy and me in VA. He was freezing cold the entire visit. We reminded him that he is from New York and it was not cold. Still, he never took his coat off and when we took him to dinner, he warmed his hands over the candle. Tom and I still laugh about that. I love you Ave and you will be missed.

What do you say about a great human being? My husband Ken and I will forever cherish the friendship we had. We will sit back and laugh at all the moments he brightened our lives. He is, and always will be, sorely missed. I know you are already sharing some laughs with Jerry;). Our condolences extend out to all that knew and loved Dave.

Dave and I became fast friends in high school. He made me laugh....I made him laugh. We always kept in touch throughout the years and when I moved to Southern California he visited for some "bad craziness" multiple times. I will miss my brother from another mother every day until I meet up with him again. We will probably argue on what to do first.....visit with Jerry Garcia or take a boat out for some fishing. My deepest sympathies to Dave's family especially Lisa, Chelsea, Amber, Mark, Mary and Lisa's 4 children.

My name is Ron DeRose from Rochester, NY. I met Dave in 6th grade at school 33 and we became very good childhood friends hanging out riding bikes, listening to all the Young Rascals songs, playing basement floor hockey and always laughed whatever we did. I remember his sister tragically died the same year my father passed away and this was our bond.
Dave was light years ahead of his time. He was an instant hit with the ladies at an early age which I admired. Suddenly his family moved and I never saw or heard from him again but his memories will live with me forever.
When I saw his obituary I shed a tear and remembered our times together. Wished we would've stayed in touch.
My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace forever.

My heart goes out to Dave's family and friends. I knew Dave in high school. He was friendly and funny and a wonderful brother to my brother in law Mark. He was not only a brother.. but also his best friend. Deepest condolences and big hugs at this sad time

I have not seen Dave since I left Pittsford many years ago for Wisconsin, but heard tidbits here and there from my brother Joe and Frank Ferrara. I recall fond memories of the crazy fun we would have as young "adults", misbehaving as usual! Folks in the Midwest are wound pretty tight, so when I find folks that act the same as Dave, Frank, John C. et al. in our sphere of high school friends, it brings back great times! Lucky we made it this long!
God Bless Dave and his family (I hear they are clutch!), my condolences to all. Chuck Bronte
