Obituary of Robert C. Gola

Robert C. Gola, 78, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Bob was born in Syracuse, NY on October 2, 1943, the son of the late Charles and Agnes (Pryzwa) Gola. He was married to his loving wife, Ann, for 44 years, prior to her passing in 2013.

He attended Syracuse University and went on to become a CPA for Price Waterhouse Coopers for 33 years. Upon retirement, he took on a new adventure with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance as the Deputy Commissioner of Tax Operations. Bob was a lifelong NY Yankees, NY Giants and Syracuse Orange fan who shared his passion with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather and always enjoyed times spent together.

Bob is survived by his four loving children, Timothy (Michelle), Robert (Bridget), Jill and Susan; four grandchildren, Emily, Brendan, Reece and Evan; two grandpups; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave, Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar.
