My late husband, John Thurlow, always keep a paper he wrote in Mr. DeCecco's class that he got an A in. John was really proud of that paper and he just loved Mr. DeCecco. John was in the 1973class and i think he had Mr. DeCecco as a junior or senior. Mr. DeCecco was such an outstanding teacher at BCHS. Madeline Scully Thurlow

Dominick was a wonderful neighbor of ours in Foxwood Villas complex as well as a good and fun golfer every Tuesday at Lake Venice links. Also, he was a great cook as we found out when he invited us to his villa for dinner. He is missed, but left us with
many fine memories. We were sorry to see him leave our complex, but it was in his best interests. Best to all of you.

The BCHS Class of 1961 was honored to have Mr. DeCecco as our guest at our 60th Reunion gathering at the Town Park this past September. He sat and spoke to many in our class about his years at Bethlehem Central. Condolences to you and his grandchildren and others in the Lockwood and DeCecco family.

Our deepest condolences to the DeCecco family on Dom's passing. I knew and respected Dom while wearing four different hats: as a student in the Bethlehem Class of 1962 among many of my fellow classmates who also remember Dom fondly; as the son of Ruth Trobridge, a long-time secretary to the Bethlehem high school principal who was friends and colleagues with, and thought very highly of Dom; as the father of Bruce Trobridge, a Bethlehem student of Dom's from a second generation whom Dom challenged and brought out the best; and finally as the representative from NEA/NY to the Bethlehem Central Teachers Association in which Dom was an important and active member. Words fail to adequately express the respect and esteem in which the Trobridge's held Dom as a professional educator, a citizen of the world, a man and a friend. Rest in Peace, Dom. You will be missed.

As a dedicated teacher who really cared about his students, I learned very important lessons from him, and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to let him know that while he was alive. We have been blessed with his life and his spirit.
I send my deepest condolences for your loss.

Peter and I send you all our love and our sincerest condolences...decades and decades of interaction with Dom (and Pat and Andrea, David, and Michael) were a delight and we will always cherish the memories. Sincere condolences to the entire DeCecco family. Over the years, since graduation from BC in 1963, Mr DeCecco became Dom. I visited Dom in Sarasota and he also attended class reunions in NY and FL. He was loved and admired by all. RIP.

I was blessed to have been one of Dom's students at BCHS. It was also a pleasure to have corresponded with him via email several times. He made a big impression on me and I'll never forget his kindness to a negative kid, which was me.
