Obituary of Janice Anne Ronner

Janice A. Ronner – Loudonville

Janice A. Ronner, age 71, entered into eternal life Thursday, June 2, 2022.  Born in Passaic, NJ she was the daughter of the late John and Anne Surgent Iaroli.

Before retiring, Janice was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a Training Technician for over 30 years.  

Janice was so many things to so many people, but above all, she had a generous heart. After retiring, she became very involved in the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and helped with weekend cat adoption clinics, supply drives, fundraising for their annual Paws in the Park event and helping in shelters. Janice was an active communicant of Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Loudonville where she was a member of several prayer groups and active in other church activities for over 40 years.  She loved animals, especially her most recent dog Hamlet and cats Maddie and Ionka, who would sit with her.  She enjoyed gardening and was happiest by the ocean in Cape Cod and Wildwood.  

She loved her friends and family, but her world was her daughters and granddaughter, Sylvia. As her daughters grew up and became more involved in sports,  she was a staple on the sidelines at every soccer and lacrosse game and was always the first to jump out of bed at 4 a.m. when there was a soccer tournament carpool to go to on the weekends. She lived for quality time with her granddaughter, who lovingly referred to her as Nonna. 

Janice was the loving mother of Amanda Greenwood (Justin) of Delmar, NY and Courtney Ronner of Denver, CO; sister of John Iaroli (Elaine), and cherished grandmother of Sylvia Greenwood.  She is also survived by a niece and several cousins.  

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Jun 8, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:30pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar, NY 12054.
