Obituary of Judith A. Ragone

Judith Anne Ragone, 76, passed away on December 25th, 2022 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Judi was born May 12th, 1946 to the late George W. Chesbro and Maxine (Sharpe) Chesbro.  She lived most of her life in Delmar and graduated from Bethlehem Central in 1964.  She was married over 48 years to her high school sweetheart Richard Ragone until his passing in 2017.  She earned her master’s degree at SUNY Brockport and spent her career teaching for East Greenbush Central School district.

In retirement, Judi loved to travel and nearly completed her goal of going to all 50 states. She especially enjoyed summers at her family's lake house at The Great Sacandaga Lake along with frequent shopping trips with family and friends. She was a source of strength and encouragement for her family. She also was a member of the VFW Post 3185 Auxiliary.

Judi is survived by her beloved children, Kristen (Jack) Dwyer of Glenmont, Kara (Brent) Kosoc of Delmar, and Michael Ragone of Delmar. Besides her children the loves of her life were her grandchildren, Jake, Abbie, Chloe and Evan Kosoc, Sophia and Olivia Dwyer and Maya Ragone.  She is also survived by her in-laws, Dawn LeFevre, Stephanie Ragone, John (Kathy)
Weidman Robin Chesbro and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her brother, George C. Chesbro and in-laws, Raymond LeFevre and Donald Ragone.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar, NY on Sunday, January 8th from 3 to 6 p.m.
