Obituary of Andrew J. Piegare

It is with profound sadness that the family of Andrew Joseph Piegare announces his peaceful passing on March 23, 2023, at the age of 70, in his home, in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He will be forever remembered by the love of his life, Diane (Cappelli) Piegare. They shared 46 years of marriage. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Roxanne and Juliette, and his son-in-laws, Robert Ellis and Ercan Karaman. He was recently blessed with two granddaughters Amelia Rose Ellis and Molly Hannah Ellis. Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Eileen Kane and Louis (Rosa Dardon) Piegare Jr.; sisters-in-law, Joan Cappelli Mackey and Kathy Cappelli (Richard) Schepper; niece, Tanya Phillips, and nephew, Jason Kane, as well as his dearly loved relatives and numerous friends amongst Queens NY, Glenmont NY, and Myrtle Beach SC.

He was predeceased by his father, Louis Piegare Sr., and mother, Ruth (Whyte) Piegare; brother-in-law, Michael Kane.

He began what became a 42-year successful career with Travelers Insurance, starting as an auto damage appraiser in NYC and retiring as a Vice President of Operations in 2015.

A visitation will be held at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave Delmar, on Wednesday, March 29^th from 4:00 to 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:30am Thursday, March 30^th, 2023 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place Delmar. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
