Obituary of Eleanor A. Fabe

Eleanor (Abrams) Fabe, 94, longtime resident of Glenmont, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023.

Eleanor was born in Albany on March 22, 1929, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Roe) Abrams from Greenville, NY.  She was retired from CDTA in Albany.  Following retirement, she resided in South Carolina before relocating back to this area.  Eleanor was a charter member of Selkirk Fire Dept. #2 Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved music and served as organist at Glenmont Community Church for several years and played for The Golden Oldies in SC as well as Sunday services at the Beverwyck facility in Slingerlands.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George A. Fabe; daughter, Janet Hammond; and sister, Shirley Abrams.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Gregory Fabe (Lisa); daughters, Barbara Hummel (Robert) and Jacqueline Fabe; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 25 from 10 am to 12 noon at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.  A funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
