Obituary of Lorraine Marie Felter

Lorraine M. Felter, 86, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Lorraine was the daughter of the late Leo Appleby and Esther (Sutton) Appleby. She was raised on the family farm, and graduated from Ravena High School in 1957. She was employed as a secretary for R-C-S school district and Callanan Industries before retiring as an administrative assistant from Russell Sage College (Albany).

She is predeceased by her daughter Rachel M. Felter, brother Ernest Appleby, and sister Marjorie Wolfe. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert V. Felter, sisters Lois (Richard) Acquino, and Donna Sullivan; children, Elise (Richard) Voorhaar, and Andrew (Karen) Felter. She was the proud grandmother of Ryan and Hannah Voorhaar and Maura, Liam, Aidan, and Tess Felter. She also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, church family, and many friends.

Family and friends may call from 1 to 2:30 PM on Friday, March 22nd at the Onesquethaw Reformed Church, 11 Groesbeck Rd, Feura Bush, NY. A service will follow at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Onesquethaw Reformed Church online ministries.
