Obituary of Maria Parker

DELMAR- Maria Parker, 74, entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 6, 2015 at her home. Born December 27, 1940 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Maria (Heumann) Hofmann. She was the Mother of Michael of Alexandria, Va., Corinna of Delmar and "Omi" of Alex of Harpursville; and Sister of Helga, Bernhard, Bert, and Karl all of Germany. Prior to her retirement Maria worked as a bookkeeper for Colonial Plumbing and Heating in Albany. She had also volunteered at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12th at 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. The family will begin receiving visitors at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish may send a remembrance in her name to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
