Obituary of Robert J. Selig

DELMAR - Robert J. (Bob) Selig, 56, died suddenly Sunday, March 8, 2015 at home. Bob grew up in Delmar and attended Bethlehem Central Schools. At the time of his death he worked in Durham as a plant operator for ECI. Bob enjoyed hunting with bow and rifle, fishing, building and racing R/C cars and planes. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his best buddy, his niece Ashlyn, who was the sunshine in his world. He was a member of the Bethlehem Sportsman's Club and a past member of the Delmar Fire Department. Bob is survived by his parents, John and Barbara; his sister Kathleen, all of Delmar; his brother William (Barbara) of Seattle, WA; his sister Heather (Robert) Burns of Selkirk; his nephew and niece Zackery and Ashlyn Burns, his Aunt Doris Selig of Guilderland and Dorothy Selig of Rockledge, Fl, as well as, several cousins and his good friends Bill and Kate Boughton. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave, Delmar on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 2 to 5 pm. A memorial service will be held following.
