Obituary of Katherine McCartney

SLINGERLANDS- Katherine A. McCartney, 52, died Thursday, June 07, 2012 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Arlington, VA she is the daughter of Laben and Elizabeth Baron McCartney. Katherine is a graduate of Cornell Law School and currently worked as Deputy Counsel for the NYS Thruway Authority. She was previously employed by the NYS Senate. Katherine enjoyed Gardening, Kayaking, exercise classes at the Bethlehem YMCA and her participation as a board member at the Egg. In addition to her parents, Katherine is survived by her loving husband Eric Fluster; her cherished daughters Morgan and Sydney; her father and mother-in-law Jay and Eileen Fluster of Guilderland. She is also survived by other members of Fluster and McCartney families and many close friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar on Sunday, from 3 to 7pm. Funeral services will be private.
