Obituary of Judith W. Draper

DELMAR – Judith W. Draper, 76, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 following a short illness. Born in Albany on October 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude Wittemer Weis. Judith attended the Academy of the Holy Names, Hudson Valley C. C. and Empire State College. She was employed at the NYS Dept. of Health for over 30 years. Judith was the widow of the late Raymond J. Draper. She is survived by her two sons, Randall John Draper (Kimberly) of Pittsfield, MA and Dennis Paul Draper (Christine) of Caroga Lake; her beloved grandchildren, Dr. Rachel J. Draper of Biddeford, ME, Megan Schanbaum (Quinton) and their son, Ari of Plano, TX; Cody R., Kirsten A. and Lauren A. Draper, all of Caroga Lake; brother, Richard J. Weis of Ravena; and a cousin, Bernice Rooney. Calling hours will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, Sept. 6 at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar. A graveside service will be held 10 am Friday, Sept. 7 at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
