Roy has been the best neighbor anyone could wish for over 25 years now. We can't imagine not seeing him in the yard or chatting over the back fence. Always a smile, a joke and asking about how the kids are doing in Arizona and Massachusetts. He was a great guy even if he did like the Red Sox. We can picture him up there with his old doggie Fenway cheering those Bo Sox on. Our love and support for Lynnette, Nate, Kira & Noah.

I had the opportunity to wrok with Roy in his job engaging with the State of New York. Roy not only worked hard to support his family, but als worked to assure that government would be able to needs of those most disadvatgeed, those counting on the opportunities a great education can provide and to assure that we would all be safe in our somes. Ray strived to do well personally ,but do good for his community...a good an honorable man for whom I have had nothing but gre3at respect. he will be missed by his friends and colleagues at HP, and while they may not know it, by the citizens of the Empire State.

If you have ever been Pannucc'ed, count yourself blessed. I have been fortunate enough to have been Pannucc'ed many times. ### To be Pannucc'ed is to have been totally sucked in by the smooth natured, smiling (some say grinning) Roy Pannucci. Often times he would be wearing what we joked was his Mr. Roger's Neighborhood sweater. You would be speaking with Roy on the phone, in the car, over lunch, whatever.... You might be sharing a common business disappointment or just be having a rough day. Roy would state the plain facts about the situation and then put them into perspective - in a sneaky way. He would tell you about his family, his kids, his dog, his..... And then genuinely ask about yours and probe for details. And then, bam, 10 or 15 minutes later you would realize that you have been Pannucc'ed and things are not all that bad and, in fact, they are pretty dang good. ### I have been Pannucc'ed on business topics, recessions, college costs, and the death of a parent. The last time I was Pannucc'ed was at lunch in Albany earlier this month. I remember Roy forgoing handicap parking because he was having a good day. Just as we were leaving, I remember looking around the table and noticing that everyone was having a good day, too. Roy had left them with that tell-tale-sign on their faces - they had been Pannucc'ed. ### I will miss that feeling. I will miss being Pannucc'ed.

Since we moved into the neighborhood on Dover Drive some 7 years ago our 3 girls have sold Girl Scout Cookies to all our neighbors and we have made some great frinds by doing this. Some of these friends have four legs and are fur balls and the newest addition happens to be Sophie Pannucci. Rebecca, Elisabeth and Allison so enjoyed visiting with Roy and Sophie on many ocassions. When we go to Cape Cod each year for vacation the girls like to bring back Cape Cod Dog treats for some of our furry friends. This year in July after we returned from the Cape we made our rounds in the neighborhood delivering our treats. Roy, as always, greeted us with a smile, brought Sophie out for us to play with and asked us how our trip was. He even shared his own family vacation memories with us. Then he asked the girls if they would like to open up the dog cookies we brought over for Sophie and give her one. The girls of course said yes but Sophie was not so interested in the cookies. Roy didn't want the girls to be disappointed by her reaction so he gave the cookie a little sniff and asked what they were made of. We asnwered "all natural" stuff according to the shop we purchased them from. He unexpectedly took a large bite out of the dog cookie, gave it a few chews and swallowed it down. He declared it was very tasty, like granola - yummy. The girls lookd at him like "Are you Crazy Mr. Pannucci?" then they burst out laughing at him. He even finished the whole cookie telling them not to worry -if Sophie won't eat the cookies then he would.
Roy was a wonderful person and we will miss him on our visits around the neighborhood selling and giving out cookies. I am so gald we got to know him in the short time we've lived here. He will be missed!
Know that our prayers are with you,
Rob,Mary,Rebecca,Elisabeth and Allsion Coolidge

I have many fond memories of Mr. Pannucci over the years. I remember back to when I was just five or six years old. I hung out with my best friend and next door neighbor, Nate, every day. We played on our jungle gym sets, played sports, and went on whatever adventures five years old go on within the confines of their backyards. Whenever it was dinner time or time to go in for the night, Mr. Pannucci would come outside and break the news to us that play time was over. Of course being little boys, all we wanted to do was keep playing, so often protests to stay outside ensued. Mr. Pannucci was always able to nicely explain to us we would be able to play after dinner or tomorrow, which made us alright with going home.
Another distinct memory is from back in 2003 when I was back from college for the summer. The Pannucci's had just gotten a large order of mulch and Mr. Pannucci asked my mother if I could help disperse the mulch throughout their landscaping. I was happy to help. Later that afternoon, Mr. Pannucci came outside and told me that the electricity was out in their house. I ran into my house and found out our electricity was out too. We each tried to call family and friends on our cell phones to find out the extent of the power outage, but to no avail, the phone lines were jammed. Electricity was of no importance to our manual labor, so we had some lemonade, continued talking, and finished dispersing the mulch. Unbeknownst to us, the majority of the Northeast and a good portion of Canada was without power.
I have numerous good memories, but these are the ones that come immediately to mind. Mr. Pannucci was a loving father, wonderful neighbor, and a genuinely great guy who would always greet you with a smile, a hello, and see how you were doing. I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to Ms. Pannucci, Nate, Kira, Noah, and the rest of his family.
